Jack Bedwell, 89, of Jackson died Oct. 5, 2009 at a local hospital.
He was born June 6, 1920. He was a native of Coffeeville. He was a member of Stave Creek Baptist Church. He was a Mason and a member of the Santa Fe Lodge No. 226. He was a retired chemical operator with Olin Chemical. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Bedwell, Jackson; one son, Donnie J. Bedwell, Jackson; two daughters, Judy Godfrey, Mobile, Juanita Kelly, Selma; three brothers, J.C. Bedwell, Prattville, Willie Bedwell, Silver Hill, Mack Bedwell, Coffeeville; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
The service was Oct. 7 at 3 p.m. at Stave Creek Baptist Church. Burial was in the Trinity Memorial Gardens. Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directed. An online guestbook may be signed at www.lathanfuneralhomes.c om.
Active pallbearers were the Masons of Santa Fe Lodge No. 226.
