Mildred Perine House, 53, of Choctaw Bluff died Oct. 8, 2009 at USA Medical Center in Mobile.
She was born Jan. 21, 1956. She was a member of Inspirational Tabernacle Church of God in Christ where she served as president of the usher board, superintendent of Sunday school and vice president of women’s ministry. She was a former member of the New Cannan Baptist Church and Rogers Temple. She was a nursing assistant for a number of years at Jackson Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Minister Jim Larry House, Choctaw Bluff; one devoted brother, Jerry (Hazel) Perine Sr., Choctaw Bluff; two uncles, J.C. Rocker, Choctaw Bluff, Chester Rocker, Mobile; five aunts, Sarah Nettles, Detroit, MI, Lavenia Pearson, Gaston, Annie J. Rocker, Shirley (Frank) Richardson, Louretta (David) Taylor, all of Choctaw Bluff.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruben and Lula Mae Rocker Perine and a brother, Mose Perine.
The service was Oct. 15 at 11 a.m. at the Inspirational Tabernacle Church of God in Christ in Jackson with Rev. Beverly Jackson officiating. Burial was in the New Cannan Cemetery in Choctaw Bluff. Jackson Memorial Funeral Home directed.
