John Edward Moss, 63, of Toddtown died Oct. 7, 2009 at Springhill Memorial Hospital in Mobile.
He was born Aug. 18, 1946. He was an avid horseback rider. He was a member of the “Rough Rider” horse Club of Choctaw Bluff. He worked for many years in the construction industry.
Survivors include sons Johnathan Wade Moss, Talladega, Christopher Randall (Tracey) Moss, Brunswick, GA; parents, mother, Wilodean Moss Alston; stepfather, Willie J. Alston, Toddtown; one brother, Taylor Moss, Toddtown; three sisters, Margaret (Mose) Moore, Vonciel Caver (Milton Batton), Grace and Daniel Robinson, all of Pittsburg, PA; mother-inlaw, Abbie Nash, Choctaw Bluff; seven grandchildren; a special friend, Ronessia Bonner, Toddtown.
He was preceded in death by father, Woodrow Moss and his wife, Georgia Ann Nash Moss and a son, John Edward Moss Jr.
The service was Oct. 14 at 12 noon at the Church of the Living God of Coffeeville with Elder Robert Smith, pastor, and Rev. Frederick Thompson officiating. Burial was in the Pine Chapel No. 2 Cemetery in Toddtown. Jackson Memorial Funeral Home directed.
