Janie Mae Robinson Williams, 80, of Mobile died Oct. 8, 2009 at Lynnwood Nursing Home in Mobile.

She was born July 12, 1929. She was a member of St. Union Baptist Church in Jackson where she served in the Missionary Society and pastor’s aide.

Survivors include three sons, Charles (Francine) Williams, Queens, N.Y., Clarence (Mary) Williams, Waldrof, MD, Lawrence Williams, Jackson; one daughter, Eartha (Sidney) Willis, Mobile; a daughterin law, Brenda Lowe Williams, Boston, MA; one sister, Betty L. Marshall, Detroit, MI; five brothers, Jesse J. Robinson, James Robinson, Marvin (Rose) Robinson, all of Jackson, Bobby L. Robinson, Indian Head, MD, David Robinson, Richmond, VA; eight sister-in-laws, Bettye Robinson, Margaret Dean, Evelyn Williams, all of Jackson, Lillie Williams, Lawton, OK, Clara Jean (Theron) Woods, Lurie Jackson, Marie Williams, all of Birmingham, Sara Barnwell, Los Angeles, CA, Harold Williams, New York, N.Y., Issac Williams, Washington, D.C., Luther

She was preceded in death by her parents, Barney and Mattie Files Robinson and her husband, Samuel T. Williams, one son, Roy Williams Sr., two daughters, Clara Jane, Elizabeth Jane, one brother, George Robinson, one sister, Vonciel James.

The service was Oct. 13 at St. Union Baptist Church with Rev. James M. Howard officiating. Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Jackson. Jackson Memorial Funeral Home directed.
