Flomation jumped out to a 14 point lead, but Coffeeville made a game of it by tying the football game 22-22 by halftime.

In the second half, Flomaton stretched out to a 42-22 lead before Coffeeville started their come back. The Panthers scored 14 unanswered points and fumbled away a potential tying score late in the game.

Watkins scored on an 82 yard interception return for a touchdown. Andreas Lewis caught a 40 yard pass for a touchdown and returned a interception 65 yards. Dexter Williams ran 18 yards for a touchdown and returned a interception 75 yards for a touchdown.

Altogether the Panthers had 237 return yards from interceptions. On the flip side of that Coffeeville turned the ball over on three fumbles (One of which would have tied the football game at 42-42) and three interceptions. The Panthers had 257 yards passing with three touchdowns and three interceptions.

“The defense played really well at times, but we hurt ourselves with turnovers on offense in this game and this year,” said Coffeeville Coach LaBarry Jones. “Nothing has gone the way we wanted it to go this year, but I have had only three months with this team. We have to build confidences with our teammates and get stronger in the weight room. We have all the starters on offense coming back next year and I look to have a much better team next year.”

The Hurricanes won 42- 36. Tata Ellis scored two touchdowns and the Hurricanes as a team rushed for 423 yards.

Coffeeville ended the season 1-9 and Flomaton finished the season 4-6.
