Grove Hill voters OK legalized alcohol sales by 62% majority

Grove Hill citizens voted Tuesday to become the third municipality in dry Clarke County to permit legalized alcohol sales.
Voters agreed to legalized sales with 346 “Yes” votes to 214 “No” votes. That is a 62 percent majority. More...
The Clarke County Board of Education ended the fiscal year with a $1.9 million balance but had to dip into its reserves for about $1 million to fund operations because of state proration cuts.
