Mary Lou Ervin, 68, of Jackson died Nov. 28, 2009 at Jackson Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 04, 1941. She was a member of Mt. Olive No. 2 Baptist Church in Jackson. She had worked at M.W. Smith Lumber Company for 23 years.
Survivors include a devoted husband, Frank D. Ervin, Jackson; two sons, Robert (Lelia) Darrington, Johnny Darrington, all of Jackson; three daughters, Gloria Pernell, Cynthia (Leon) Edgar, Debra (Jerome) Bettis; two brothers, Johnny (Catherine) Ezell, Sim (Gloria) Ezell; two sisters, Barbara McReynolds, Pearlean (Jessie) Norwood, all of Jackson; 16 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three special friends, Essie Mae Gamble, Dorothy Stewart, Jean Hicks and the Jackson Nutrition Center Family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Mary Ezell; two sisters, Louise Pearson, Sadie Mae Dennis; three brothers, Jessie Rodgers, Sammy Ezell, Joe Louis Ezell.
A visitation will be Friday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Jackson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. A second visitation will be Saturday, Dec. 5 from 12 until the 1 p.m. service at Mt. Olive No. 2 Baptist Church in Jackson with Rev. Stevenson E. Tullis officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
