Lewis Thomas “L.T.” Fox, 78, a native of Gainestown and resident of Gainestown, died Dec. 1, 2009 at his home. He was a retired worker for the city of Mobile and a member of the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Prichard.
Survivors include eight daughters, Evonne (Kenneth) Starling, Ruby Yeldell and Marilyn (Richard) Perry, all of Charlotte, N.C., Katherine (William) Fox of Gainestown, Ethel (Steve) Bledsoe of Columbia, Md., Theresa Flanagan of Birmingham, Karen (Terry) Pope of Thomasville and Sandra J. Jackson of Montgomery; three sisters, Earsell Fox and Minnie Hunt, both of Gainestown, and Elnora (Neal) Flinn of Decatur, Ill.; two brothers, Willis Fox and Walter (Sylivia) Fox, both of Decatur; 15 grandchildren, a host of great-great-grandchildren; devoted niece, Cynthia Watson; devoted nephew, Clausell Fox; and devoted friend, Henrietta Powell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Irma and Dink Fox; sister, Ora Lee Fox; brothers, Joseph Fox, Jimmy Fox, Cleophus Fox, David Fox and Elijah Fox.
Funeral services were Dec. 8 at the Antioch A.M.E. Church. Interment was in the church cemetery under the direction of Jackson Memorial Funeral Home of Jackson.
