Jack Murray Campbell Jr., 87, of Thomasville died Dec. 9, 2009 at Country Oaks Assisted Living Facility.
He was born Jan. 31, 1922 in Fulton. He was a member of Elam Baptist Church. He was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a former airplane mechanic.
Survivors include one son, Mark Campbell, Honolulu, HI; several cousins and other relatives and friends.
The service was Dec. 11 at 11 a.m. at Elam Baptist Church with Revs. Mark Dunn and Danny Ellis officiating. Burial was in the Elam Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomasville with military honors from the U.S. Navy. O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville directed.
Active pallbearers were Mike Godwin, Dan Stevens, Philip Jordan, John Ivey Reid, Gerald Reid and Harold Reid.
