Cora Louise Nichols, 76, of Grove Hill died Dec. 13, 2009 at her residence.

She was born July 29, 1933. She was a member of Hebron United Methodist Church. She was a retired hand operator with Vanity Fair Mills.

Survivors include her husband, Ernest Nichols, Walker Springs; two daughters, Janet Lynn, Walker Springs, Judith N. Richardson, Yulee, FL; two brothers, Bobby Smith, Dauphin Island, Monty Smith, Grove Hill; two sisters, Ruth Pezent, Walker Springs, Faye Andrews, Grove Hill.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Smith and Willie Marvin Smith.

The service was Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. at the Hebron United Methodist Church with Revs. Jerry Gibson, Percy Clarke and Maurice Dyess officiating. Burial was in the Smith Family Cemetery. Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directed.

Active pallbearers were Micah Smith, Micah Nichols, Ray Smith, Glenn Smith, Johnny Pezent and David Nichols.

Honorary pallbearers were Roger Nichols, Glenn Simpson, T. Bob Andrews, Bruce Andrews, Casey Powell, Joe Powell, Greg Smith, Rodney Smith and Darrell Syphrit.
