Edward Turner Dempsey, 73, of St. Stephens died Dec. 18, 2009 at his residence.
He was born Sept. 26, 1936. He was a native of Frankville. He was a member of The First Baptist Church of St. Stephens. He was a member of Woodmen of the World. He was a wheelhouse operator with Lone Star Cement Company and later a truck driver with Joe Bailey and Saiia Construction Company.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Dempsey, St. Stephens; four daughters, Virginia D. (Andy) Parnell, Cathy (Frankie) Odom, all of St. Stephens, Linda Dempsey (Ed Lee) Oliver Jr., Oxford, MS, Gail (Thomas) Sandberg, Louisville, KY; one brother, Joe (Marcus Ann) Dempsey, Gilbertown; two half-brothers, Michael (Marilyn) Dempsey, Frankville, Mark Dempsey, Butler; one sister, Virginia D. “Glo” (Ted) Beech, Frankville; beloved companion, Katie Dempsey; seven grandchildren, Eric Scott Parnell, Matthew Joe Parnell, Meridian, MS, Lauryn Ashlee Oliver, Joanna Lin Oliver, both of Oxford, MS, Colby Odom, Mobile, Catherine Odom, St. Stephens, Austin Sandberg, Logan Sandberg, both of Louisville, KY; one greatgrandchild, Karen Anne Parnell.
