Lady Bulldogs win two tourney games

The Clarke County High School Lady Bulldogs were nipped 39-35 by the Lady Aggies of Jackson High School Saturday night in Grove Hill.

Alex Rouse led CCHS with nine points and seven rebounds. Kiara Gildersleeve added eight points, 11 rebounds and six assists. Keshia Coats had six points and six rebounds. MeMe Martin had five points.

In the contest the Lady Bulldogs only had five turnovers.

On Friday night CCHS lost 56-36 to Andalusia in Grove Hill.

Gildersleeeve led the Lady Bulldogs with 15 points. Gioia Jackson had six points. Alex Waters and Sherita Williams each had five points.

On Dec. 29 the Lady Bulldogs completed a perfect run through their Holiday Tournament by beating the Lady Panthers of Marengo 59-51.

Martin led CCHS with 17 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Coats added 10 points. Rouse had eight points. Gildersleeve had seven points, seven rebounds, five steals and three assists. Ciara Pendleton also had seven points.

The Lady Bulldogs opened the tourney by beating Leroy 51-37.

Cassandra Denson led the team with 12 points and five steals. Rouse had 10 points and 16 rebounds. Martin added 10 points, six steals and six assists.

Tuesday night's Clarke County- Washington County game was cancelled due to the bad weather that passed through the area.
