Mary Eva Gates Weaver, 94, of Satsuma died Jan. 17, 2010 at her residence.
She was born April 18, 1915. She was a native of Fulton.
Survivors include her children, Claude Jr., (Bertha) Weaver, Mary Edna (Gerald) Wilkerson, Jack (Betty) Weaver and Bryant (Darlene) Weaver; two sisters, Jeannette Harville, Geneva Taylor; one sister-in-law, Clara Gates; 12 grandchildren; 22 greatgrandchildren and five greatgreat grandchildren; nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Weaver Sr.; two infant daughters, Maureen and Lavonia Weaver; two sons, (infant) Awnaree and James Weaver, granddaughter; Jackie Bolton, son-in-law, Billy Moorehead, daughter-in-law; Elaine Weaver, sister; Ruby Mae Pritchett, two brothers; James Marvin (Buddy) Gates and Emmette Gates, her parents, Chris Monet and Lillie Gates.
The service was Jan. 20 at 11 a.m. at Satsuma Baptist Church. Burial was in the Creola Cemetery. Gilmer’s Funeral Home directed.
