Herman Eugene Garrick, 59, of Grove Hill died Feb. 1, 2009.
He was born Feb. 22, 1950. He was a graduate of Auburn University. He will be remembered for his many years of teaching vocational agriculture at Clarke County High School. He owned and enjoyed his landscape business, Perfection Landcare for several years, employing and mentoring high school students. He was a member of the Grove Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Rachel (Stephen) Powell, Thomasville; two grandchildren, Gracie and John Allen; a sister, Dora Fleming, Winder, GA; a nephew and a niece and their children, aunts and cousins who all sadly miss and love him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and John Dee Garrick.
The service was Feb. 2 at 2 p.m. at Lathan Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Dave Rhodes and Bill Faircloth officiating. Burial was in the Grove Hill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Dean Dumas, Dale Dumas, Daryl Wilson, Tom Dumas, Ward Edge and Ralph Garrick.
