Brenda A. Carpenter Emmons, 49, of Wagarville died Feb. 4, 2010 at Mobile Infirmary.

She was born July 12, 1960. She was a member of the Victory Grove Church of Wagarville. She was a teacher at McIntosh Academy for many years. She loved to sew and read. For the last few years she has enjoyed riding cross country with her husband.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Emmons, Wagarville; one daughter, Crystal Carpenter Reeves, Ft. Greely, AK; her father, George Carpenter, Wagarville; two sons, Adam (Kristi) Emmons, Ft. Greely, AK, Mike Emmons, Wagarville; one brother, Steve (Terri) Carpenter, Grove Hill; seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Carpenter, Mobile.

The service was Feb. 6 at 2:30 p.m. at Clearwater Assembly of God Church in Wagarville with Revs. Jimmie Butts, Glen Sullivan and Bro. George Woodyard officiating. Burial was in the Clearwater Cemetery in Wagarville. St. Stephens Funeral Home directed.
