James Barton "JB" Warrick Jr., 88, of Millry died Feb. 22, 2010 at his residence.
He was born Jan. 15, 1922. He was a native and resident of the "Old Ellisville Community," Millry. He was retired from Ciba-Geigy Chemical Corporation where he worked as a boiler operator. In his younger years he worked at a "CC Camp" helping to build parks and roads including the Natchez Trace. He enjoyed deer hunting, coon hunting and turkey hunting.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Marian Jewel Flynt Warrick, Millry; one son, James "Jim" (Wanda) Allan, Millry; two daughters, Cheryl (Ralph) Ford, Odessa, TX, Linda Faye (Ray) Knotts, Mobile; one daughter-in-law, Deborah "Debbie" Warrick, Chatom; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James "Jack" Barton Warrick Sr. and Mary Allie Turner Warrick, a son, William "Bill" Harold Warrick; three brothers, Brigham Warrick, Braxton Warrick and William "Ed" Warrick; and one sister, Geneva "Neva" W. King Doggett.
A graveside service was Feb. 24 at 1:30 p.m. at the Chatom Cemetery. St. Stephens Funeral Home directed.
Active pallbearers were Ralph Ford, Ray Knotts, Brent Warrick, Bryan Warrick, Daniel Owens and Brad Ferguson.
