James Edgar Pace Jr., 84, of Wagarville died March 3, 2010 at his residence.
He was born Sept. 20, 1925. He was a native of Munson, FL. He was a World War II veteran with the United States Marines. He was a self-employed brick mason. He was a member of the Disabled Veterans of America.
Survivors include one son, James (Maxine) Michael Pace, Brewton; one daughter, Linda (Jim) Ruth Ready, Wagarville; seven grandchildren, Wendy (Wayne) Roney, John Baxley, all of Jay, FL, Lisa (Anthony) Hardy, Brewton, FL, Jamie (Jennifer) Mathis, Pace, FL, Cody Ready, Colt Ready, both of Wagarville, Kayla (Cleve) Walley, Sand Hill, MS; great-grandchildren, Blake and Brooke Roney, Tucker James Bond, all of Jay, FL, Trenton and Tyler Baxley, Chunchula, Walker Walley, Sand Hill, MS, Adelyn Raine Mathis, Pace, FL, numerous nephews, nieces, one devoted, Richard (Billy Jean) Gibson and one sister-inlaw, Virgie Chason Pace, Quincy, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Minnie Belle Nolen Pace and James Edgar Pace Sr., his wife, Annie Ruth Hall Pace, a son, Donald Wayne Pace, a sister, Effie Pace McGinnis; five brothers, Robert L. Pace, Paul C. Pace, Grover C. Pace, Hosea Pace and Willie C. Pace.
The service was March 6 at 11 a.m. at Lathan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Sullivan officiating. Burial was in the Ebenezer Methodist Church Cemetery in Wagarville. Friends may sign the guest book at lathanfuneralhomes. com.
