Ethel Goldman Everette, 91, of Leroy died April 17, 2010.
She was a native of Bigbee. She was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church of Leroy and the Sunday school class. She worked at Clarke Mills in Jackson. She was an avid gardener along with her husband Worthy Everette, established Everette’s Nursery in Leroy.
Survivors include two brothers, Willie Goldman, John (Janice) Goldman; both of St. Stephens; two daughters, Margaret (Eddie) Williams, Leroy, Helen (Donald) Drinkard, Thomasville; three grandchildren, Tracey (Paul) Sims, Pine Hill, Clint (Lori) Bagley, Thomasville, Joseph (Kerri) Williams, St. Stephens; six great-grandchildren, Adam Sims, John Sims, Will Bagley, Mackenzie Coulter, Maddie Williams; one sister-in-law, Delores Goldman, St. Stephens.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jube and Leona Goldman, her husband of 50 years, Worthy F. Everette, three brothers, Leroy Goldman, J.D. Goldman, Henry Lee Goldman; three sisters, Fannie Mae Singleton, Dollie Sullivan, Louise Rice; three infant siblings; one great-grandson, Brent Sims.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 20 at 10 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church in Leroy until the 11 a.m. service with Rev. James Watkins to officiate. Burial will be in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. St. Stephens Funeral Home directed.
Active pallbearers will be her grandsons, Clint Bagley, Joseph Williams; nephews, Clyde Singleton, Dewayne Goldman, Kelly Sullivan and Mike Goldman.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of her Sunday school class.
