Elouise Pugh Dunigan, 82, of Coffeeville died April 29, 2010 at Jackson Medical Center.
She was born May 27, 1927 to the parentage of the late Make Pugh and Ella Williams Pugh. She was a native of the Winn community. She was a member of the New Union Baptist Church of Coffeeville. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include one son, Woodie (Rosie) Dunigan, Coffeeville; five daughters, Elouise Dunigan Hopkins, Lummie Dunigan, Daisy D. (Gillis) Barnes, all of Coffeeville, Vessie Dunigan Greene, Fort Myers, FL, Millie Dunigan (Ivory) Scott, Lee High Acres, FL; a step-daughter, Gaynella Hancock, Tampa, FL; two sisters, one devoted, Lela Mae Gilmore, Salitpa, Berniece Williams, Detroit, MI; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Columbus Dunigan Sr., a son, Columbus Dunigan Jr., a sister, Emma Pugh, a half sister, Marie Chapman and two brothers, Sidney Pugh and Theodore Pugh.
The service was May 4 at 11 a.m. at Union Baptist Church with Rev. Vayton Chapman officiating. Burial was in the Pace-Dunigan Cemetery in Coffeeville.
