Funeral for Lewis White Monday

  William Lewis White, 88, died Friday, May 14, 2010 at his residence on Highway 154 in the Center Point community north of Coffeeville.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Coffeeville, born July 30, 1921.

He was a a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army as a medic and truck driver on the Red Ball Express.

He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. He was an accomplished turkey hunter.

Survivors include a son, Rayford (Marie) White, Coffeeville; daughter, Cecilia (Billy) Brunson, Jackson; sister, Annie E. Fish, Coffeeville; three grandchildren, Kevin Brunson, Cliff White and Greg Brunson; 
two step-grandchildren, Christy Beverly and Kristopher "Barna" Beverly; three great-grandchildren, five step-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Mott White.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 16 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson where the funeral will be Monday, May 17 at 1 p.m.

Burial will be in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery off of Highway 154 between Coffeeville and Chilton.
