Effie Mabel "Mickey" Kelley Dethloff, 83, died Tuesday, May 4, 2010 in Duluth, GA.
She was born Aug. 9, 1926 in Thomasville. She worked as an executive secretary for Bell Weather Exploration Company in Houston, TX. She was a devout Christian, devoted mother and grandmother who loved to dance and fish.
Survivors include three daughters, Nancy (Bill) Steele of Conroe, TX, Joy (Thad) Gilliam of Lilburn, GA, Terri (Shawn) Sullivan, Steamboat Springs, CO; two sisters, Eva Jackson, Martha Overton both of Thomasville, eight grandchildren, Joshua Steele, Ashley Clemence, Bethany Mozley, Thad Gilliam, Bradford Gilliam, Sage Sullivan, Bryce Sullivan and Sean Sullivan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George E. and Jewell Mae (Reneau) Kelley and a brother, Luther Kelley.
The service was Friday, May 7 at 10 a.m. at Eternal Hills Funeral Home in Snellville, GA with Buddy Hoffman officiating. Burial was Saturday, May 8 at 2 p.m. at the Kelley Cemetery in Thomasville.
