Anthony Wayne Garrick, 82, of Sycrene died May 23, 2010 at a Mobile hospital.

He was born Jan. 8, 1928. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II. He was a Game Warden for Scotch Lumber Company.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara B. Garrick, Dickinson; one son, Wayne (Jackie) Garrick, Grove Hill; one daughter, Robin (Charlie) Rawls, Monroeville; two sisters, Ann Cox, Beatrice Garrick, both of Grove Hill; three grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren.

The service was May 25 at 11 a.m. at Salem Baptist Church with Revs. Harvey Hutto and Rev. David Johnson officiating. Burial was in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. An online guest book may be signed at www.lathanfuneralhomes.co m. Lathan Funeral Home of Grove Hill directed.

Active pallbearers were Jason Garrick, Jeff Garrick, Joe Milstead, Michael Gregory, Jim Hudson, Buster Hough, Johnnie Reid and Lloyd Gilchrist.

Honorary pallbearers were Dwight Harrigan, Chip Harrigan, Tommy O’Melia, Gray Skipper, George Skipper, Kay Woods, Dr. R.D. Neal, Bill Gates, John Champion, Lamar Hicks and Ike Mozingo. (18-1tp)
