Ernest Goldman Sr., 82, of St. Stephens died June 9, 2010 at his residence.
He was born Oct. 3, 1927. He was a member of Midway United Methodist Church. He was a member of the W.M. Reynolds Lodge #900 in Frankville as a Mason, Scottish Rite, York Rite, Abba Temple Shrine and the Order of Eastern Star. He had worked for Ciba Giegy in the Maintenance Department.
Survivors include one son, Ernest Goldman Jr., St. Stephens; one daughter, Pat Taylor, Toxey; two brothers, Joe Edward Goldman, L.V. Goldman, both of St. Stephens; two sisters, Nell R. Langly, Cecil Rae Moorer, both of Mobile; two grandchildren, Wendy Taylor, Mobile, Donna Wilson, Butler; one great-grandchild, Ethan Wilson, Butler.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris Goldman.
Visitation will be Thursday, (tonight), June 10 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson. The service will be Friday, June 11 at 10 a.m. at Midway United Methodist Church with Revs. Marty Schills and Bill Mercer to officiate. He will lie in state one hour prior to the 10 a.m. service. A graveside service will be Masonic and Order of Eastern Star at Midway United Methodist Church Cemetery. An online guest book may be signed at www.lathanfuneralhomes.com.
Active pallbearers will be members of W.M. Reynolds Lodge #900, Frankville.
Honorary pallbearers will be Order of the Eastern Star.
