Ann Elizabeth Seibert Phillips, 75, of St. Stephens died June 25, 2010 at her residence.
She was born Dec. 28, 1934. She was a native of Washington County. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of St. Stephens. She loved people and she loved taking care of people. She made sure she crocheted something for all of her grandchildren. She worked at Vanity Fair at one time and also worked as a driver for Norfolk Southern Railroad workers. She enjoyed watching (her husband) Mr. Hugo, make all the different kinds of birdhouses.
Survivors include two sons, James (Linda) Phillips, Theodore, Allen (Jennifer) Schonefield, St. Stephens; one daughter, Deborah Parsons (Guy) Benson, Bastrop, TX; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugo Phillips, a daughter, Virginia Jeminez.
The service was June 29 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church at St. Stephens with Rev. Nadine Walters officiating. Burial was in the Midway Methodist Cemetery in Bigbee. St. Stephens Funeral Home directed.
Active pallbearers were Dewayne Byrd, Robert Marks, Dewayne Strickland, Paul Strickland, Wayne Phillips and Ray Seibert.
