Deacon Robert Clay (R.C.) Fuller, 73, died June 20, 2010.
He was born July 8, 1936 to Ms. Fannie Fuller of Whatley. He was raised in the Indian Ridge community and accepted Christ at an early age at the Indian Ridge Baptist Church where he remained a faithful and dutiful deacon until his health failed. He attended Indian Ridge School. He graduated in 1955 from Wilson Hall High School. He worked and retired from Dumas Manufacturing Company after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Keep Time Lodge #270.
Survivors include a loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Mary Ruth Fuller; seven devoted children, Waudell (Lesia) Tucker, Jackson, Louvell Tucker, Whatley, Wayne Tucker, Austin, TX, Pamelia (Freddie) Burrowes, Mobile, Cedric Fuller, Houston, TX, Brent (Paula) Fuller, Mobile, Tameka (Dr. Bernard) Harris, Coatesville, PA; 12 devoted and loving grandchildren, Alesia, Victor, Juanita, Waudell Jr., Jalen Tyler, Jermiah, Zenaida, Haleigh, Ashanti, Amiel, Caleb; one great-grandchild, and one honorary granddaughter, Jakayla Bonner; one sister, Betty Jean (Charles) Howard, Dayton, OH; mother-in-law, Willie C. Burroughs; three very devoted sisters-in-law; three aunts-in-law and two uncles-in-law; several nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends. One devoted cousin and caregiver, Dorothy Ella Morris, devoted church friends: Jance (Leonard) Martin, Naomi Taite, Sr. Doris Wilson and Bro. Woody Gaillard.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Louvenia Fuller, his mother, grandmother, brother, uncle and nephew.
The service was June 26 at 2 p.m. at Indian Ridge Baptist Church of Whatley with Rev. Johnnie Lynum officiating. Burial was in the Indian Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Jackson Memorial Funeral Home directed.
Active pallbearers were Blan Burroughs, Alphonso Burroughs, Levan Burroughs, Barry Wilson, Terry Burroughs and Kenneth Creighton.
Flowerbearers were family and friends.
