Richard "Dickie" Webb Jr., 67, died in a Houston, Texas hospital June 22, 2010.
He was born Jan. 19, 1943 in Sinton, Texas to Richard C. Webb and Ruth Lindeman. His grandparents were the late Judson and Lizzie Webb of Coffeeville and the Lindemans of Texas. He resided in Huntington, Texas for 29 years. He served in the United States Navy from 1960-1964. He was a member of the Highway Baptist Church. He was manager of the Piney Woods Sanitation Department for 23 years. He was a Mason with the Homer Lodge #254.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Webb, Huntington, Texas; three sons, Sam Webb and fiancée, Melissa Franks, Huntington, Texas, Barry Hancock, Lufkin, Texas; one step-daughter, Teresa Moore, Forth Worth, Texas; six grandchildren; one brother-in-law, David (Linda) Parker, Pagosa Springs, Colo.; a nephew, Michael Price, Albuquerque, New Mexico; one aunt, Betty (James) Pope, Grove Hill; one uncle, George Webb, El Solrante, Calif.; special friends, Richard Rummer, Lufkin and Frank Coleman of Dallas.
The service was June 25 at 1 p.m. at the Highway Baptist Church. A full Masonic graveside service was held with Rev. Lamar Denby officiating. Burial was in the Treadwell Cemetery in Huntington, Texas of Angelina County. Carroway Funeral Home directed.
Active pallbearers were Billy Phillips, Alan Forrest, John Lewis, Robert Denby, Frank Harris, Lynn Denman, Mike Ebarb and Bobby Evans.
