Jean Claire Jordan Mott, 83, of Thomasville died Aug. 7, 2010 at her residence.
She was born Jan. 21, 1927 in Jackson. She was a member of Thomasville Baptist Church. She was a retired bank teller.
Survivors include three brothers-in-law, Roger Mott, Laverne Mott, Steve Gilman; one sister-in-law, Maris Dauphin; two cousins, Bill Reid, Hal Newman.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Mack Charles Mott.
The service was Aug. 9 at 3 p.m. at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Ty Parten and Dr. James Best officiating. Burial was in the Choctaw Corner Cemetery in Thomasville.
Active pallbearers were Jim Bonner, Jimmy Bonner, Ray Dauphin, Crum Cook, Braxton Cook and Bill Reid.
Honorary pallbearers were her cousins and The TEL/Elect Ladies Sunday School Class at Thomasville Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Thomasville Baptist Church, the University of Montevallo and The Gideons International.
