John Barry Fowler, 45, of Grove Hill died July 28, 2010 in Jackson.
He was born Aug. 25, 1964 in Grove Hill. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson. He was a retired Jackson police officer and a supervisor with SAC in Jackson.
Survivors include his father, Billy Fowler, Grove Hill; one daughter, Rebecca Leigh Fowler, Jackson; one brother, Bill (Jody) Fowler, Montgomery; three nieces, Emily Fowler, Abbey Fowler, Audrey Fowler, all of Montgomery; three aunts, Nell Brunson, Grove Hill, Ann Johnson, Mexia, Inez Beck, Daphne.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Ann Morgan Fowler.
The service was July 31 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Jackson with Revs. David Curtis and Jerry Gibson officiating. Burial was in the Magnolia Lawn Cemetery in Grove Hill. O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville directed.
Active pallbearers were Wesley Noble, Will Harrell, Kevin Brunson, Craig Butts, Adam Gunter, Lee Carlisle, Kevin Woodson, Benji Elmore and Chandler Sammons.
Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Butts, Wendell Patterson, Charles Peevy and the Jackson Police Deptartment.
