Margaret Bridges Allday, 86, of Jackson died Aug. 17, 2010 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery.
She was born Sept. 13, 1923. She was president of the Residents Council at Luverne Health and Rehabilitation Center in Luverne. She represented Luverne Health and Rehabilitation in the Miss Alabama Nursing Home Contest. She was a member of the Hebron United Methodist Church. She was a retired teacher’s aide and bus driver for the Clarke County Board of Education.
Survivors include one son, Samuel Troy Allday, Decatur; two daughters, Sandra A. Franklin, Goshen, Norma Lynne Hill, LaGrange, Ga.; three sisters, Ethel Earl Gill, Baton Rouge, La., Sybil Kam, Pensacola, Fla., Emmie Nell Stokes, Linden; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Norman Troy "Buster" Allday.
The service will be Friday, Aug. 20 at 2 p.m. with visitation at 1 p.m. at Lathan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Maurice Dyess officiating. An online guest book may be signed at www.lathanfuneralhomes.com. Burial will be in the Magnolia Lawn Cemetery in Grove Hill.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Hebron United Methodist Church Building Fund.
