Freddie James Foxx, 66, of Alma, died Sept. 3, 2010 at Springhill Memorial Hospital in Mobile. He was a retired skidder operator in logging.
Survivors include three sisters, Claudia McClain, Carolyn L. Rivers, both of Manila, Bennie (Bobby) Deas, Gainestown; two brothers, William Foxx, Gainestown, Tecolian (Rose) Foxx of Alma; sister-in-law, Violet Foxx, Allentown, Penn.; brother-in-law, Lewis Jackson, Barlow Bend; one aunt, Josephine (Jephro) Rankin, Alma; two uncles, Willis Foxx, Gainestown, Jessie Foxx, Alma; god-son, Freddie Jackson, Dothan; a loving relative, Savannah Hunt, Mobile and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and William Foxx; two brothers, Roosevelt Foxx, Robert Foxx; one sister, Ruby Lean Foxx Jackson;
The service was Sept. 9 at 11 a.m. at St. Matthews No. 1 Baptist Church in Manila with the Rev. Willie Causey, pastor, and the Rev. Henry Frowner as officiating minister. Burial was in the St. Matthews No. 1 Baptist Church Cemetery. Jackson Memorial Funeral Home directed.
