Bertha Kimbrough Coxwell, 88, of Jackson died Sept. 13, 2010 in Jacskon.
She was born Feb. 20, 1922 in St. Stephens. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Jackson. During her working life, she served as a Dorm Mother for the University of Mobile. She was a member of the Jackson, Alabama, V.F.W. Post Auxiliary.
Survivors include one son, Joe T. (Patricia) Coxwell, Meridian, Miss.; one daughter, Jan C. (John) Morgan, Jackson; two grandchildren, Gina Powell and Joanna Coxwell; three great-grandchildren, Cotton Powell, Lindsey Everett, Lauren Johnson.
She was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Leah Everett.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Sept. 15 from a.m. until the 11 a.m. service at Lathan Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson with Rev. Mark Dunn officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Crest Cemetery in Jackson.
Active pallbearers will be "Bubba" Rikard, Monty Smith, Johnny Cave, Larry Powell Jr., Colton Powell and John Brown.
