John Winston Robison, 81, of Whatley died Sept. 1, 2010 at his residence.
He was born Nov. 12, 1928. He was a native of Clay Hill. He was a member of Horeb Baptist Church in Whatley. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Mt. Signal #508, Rock Run, Ala. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the United States Army. He was a Telegraph Operator and Mobile agent for Norfolk Southern Railroad.
Survivors include his wife, Jocille S. Robison, Whatley; three sons, Rodger Robison, Benjamin S. (Susan) Robison, both of Whatley, James B. (Sharon) Robison, Jackson; one sister, Mary Nell (DeVane) Powell, Birmingham; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
The service was Sept. 4 at 11 a.m. at Lathan Funeral Home Chapel in Grove Hill with Rev. Warren Shewmake officiating. Burial was in the Magnolia Lawn Cemetery in Grove Hill. An online guest book may be signed at www.lathanfuneralhomes. com.
