Bertha Kimbrough Coxwell, 88, of Jackson died Sept. 13, 2010 in Jackson.
She was born Feb. 20, 1922 in St. Stephens. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Jackson. During her working life, she served as a Dorm Mother for the University of Mobile. She was a member of the Jackson, Alabama, V.F.W. Post Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include one son, Joe T. (Patricia) Coxwell, Meridian, Miss.; one daughter, Jan C. (John) Morgan, Jackson; two grandchildren, Gina Powell and Joanna Coxwell; three great-grandchildren, Cotton Powell, Lindsey Everett, Lauren Johnson.
She was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Leah Everett.
The service was Sept. 15 at 11 a.m. at Lathan Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson with Rev. Mark Dunn officiating. Burial was in the Pine Crest Cemetery in Jackson.
Active pallbearers were "Bubba" Rikard, Monty Smith, Johnny Cave, Larry Powell Jr., Colton Powell and John Brown.
Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Hussian, Employees of Jackson Home Health, Employees of Jackson health Care Facility.
