Lola Angelina Grimes, 76, of St. Stephens died Sept. 14, 2010 in Mobile.
She was born Aug. 8, 1934 in Yarbo. She was a member of the Midway United Methodist Church in St. Stephens. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, The Gideon's Auxiliary and the North Mobile Planning Council of the United Methodist Church. She was a retired rural mail carrier.
Survivors include her husband, Robert L. Grimes, St. Stephens; one son, James "Randy" (Terri) Grimes, St. Stephens; three daughters, Judy (Holland) Reeves, Jackson, Joey (Bill) Blount, Leroy, Jamey (Earl) Greer, Wilmer; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The service was Sept. 17 at 10 a.m. at Midway United Methodist Church in St. Stephens with Revs. Marty Shields and Nadine Walters officiating. Burial was in the Midway United Methodist Church Cemetery. Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directed.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the building fund of the Midway United Methodist Church in St. Stephens.
Active pallbearers were Tommy Johnson, Ferrell Grimes, Ronald Hadley, Mack Moss, Darryl Batley and Paul Clark.
