Billy Jack McClinton, 78, of Linden died Sept. 30, 2010 at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis.
He was born July 18, 1932 in Leroy. He was a member of the Forest Hill Baptist Church. He was a member of the Demopolis American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Louise McClinton, Linden; one son, Billy Jack McClinton Jr., St. Petersburg, Fla.; three daughters, Deborah Bonner, Tuscaloosa, Teresa Smith, Paul Fultz, both of Linden; 12 grandchildren, Bethany Compton, Seth Bonner, Anna Kathryn Bonner, Phillip Mark Smith Jr., Christopher Smith, Ashley Smith, Billy Jack McClinton III, Brandon McClinton, Thomas Fultz, M. Weldon Fultz, Colston Fultz, Leighton Fultz; two great-grandchildren, Phillip Nathan Smith, Isabella Fultz; several nephews, nieces and cousins.
A graveside service with military honors was held Oct. 3 at 2 p.m. at Linden Memorial Park with Rev. Tony Earl Cannon officiating. O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Linden directed. Active pallbearers were his grandsons.
