John Wallace Kelley, 85, of Grove Hill died Oct. 5, 2010 at a local health care facility.
He was born March 2, 1925. He was a member of Union Baptist Church in Grove Hill. In his younger years he coached little league baseball for several years in Grove Hill and was a proud supporter of the Little League, Dixie Youth and high school baseball in Grove Hill. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting. He was a gas truck driver for Blossman Gas Company.
Survivors include his wife, Nell Ree Kelley, Grove Hill; four sons, Royce (Judy) Kelley, Travis (Melinda) Kelley, Keith Kelley, all of Grove Hill, Ronald Kelley, Little Rock, Ark.; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one grandchild, Abby Kelley and two great-grandchildren, Layla Dhabayen and Caleb Claxton.
Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 9 from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service at Union Baptist Church with Revs. Carey Howard and David Jones officiating.
