Nedra Gates, 82, of Thomasville died Nov. 11, 2010 at Mobile Infirmary.
She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She was a housewife and had worked at H.A. Satin in Grove Hill and Bill’s Dollar Store from which she retired.
Survivors include three sons, Claude Larry (Suzy) Gates Sr., William Terry (Arlene) Gates, all of Thomasville, Roger Dale (Jimmy) Gates Sr., Fulton; one daughter, Leila Marie Gates, Thomasville; one brother-in-law, William Floyd Gates, Thomasville; one sister-in-law, Dean Gates, Thomasville; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; numerous other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Columbus Gates, her father, Archie Francis Junkins, her mother, Mamie Criswell Junkins, and two sisters, Berniece Haskew, and Weta Pearl Peeples.
The service was Nov. 13 at 10 a.m. at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Faircloth officiating. Burial was in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomasville.
Active pallbearers were Chris Gates, Larry Gates Jr., Jason Barnes, Jeff Barnes, Sean Gates and Justin Gates.
Honorary pallbearers were Dale Gates, Heath Gates, Grey Gates, Tony Horton, Tony Barnes and Nicole Horton.
