Maynard Ray Andrews, 87, of Thomasville died Nov. 30, 2010 at Mobile Infirmary.
He was born Aug. 7, 1923 in Greenwood. He was a member of the Thomasville United Methodist Church. He was a World War II United States Navy veteran. He was a retired paper mill worker.
Survivors include his wife, Maggie Inez Andrews, Thomasville; one son, Jimmy (Debra) Andrews, Thomasville; one daughter, Carolyn (Alton) Drinkard, Thomasville; one brother, Everett Andrews, Bassett Creek; four grandchildren, Jeff (Melanie) Drinkard, Rome, Ga., Jarod (Tanya) Andrews, Huntsville, Lucas (Cotrena) Andrews, Atmore, Abbie (Chris) Lacey, Talladega; seven great-grandchildren, Mary Madeline Drinkard, Evans Drinkard, Cole Andrews, Megan Andrews, James Andrews, Travis Andrews, Delanna Lacey.
The service was Dec. 2 at 11 a.m. at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Revs. George Sedberry and Mark Lambert officiating. Burial was in the Kelley Cemetery in Thomasville.
Active pallbearers were Jeff Drinkard, Jarod Andrews, Lucas Andrews, Chris Lacey, Glenn Hobgood and Russell Andrews.
Honorary pallbearers were Marion Bartlett, Boyce Kelley, Phil Andrews, Andy Bagley, Tiajuana Campbell, Laura Lewis and Ollie Pugh.
