Frank Herndon Rivers, 86, of Grove Hill died Nov. 24, 2010 in a Mobile hospital.
He was born Nov. 10, 1924. He was a native of Coffeeville. He was a member of Tompkins Baptist Church in Grove Hill where he was a Sunday school teacher, a deacon and served as chairman of the deacons for several years and is now Deacon Emeritus. He was retired from Vanity Fair Mills as Man- ager of the stock room.
Survivors include his daughter, Kay Rivers (James E.) Paul, Grove Hill; two grandchildren, Julie Paul (Michael) Parmer, Selma, James Andrew (Ellen Allday) Paul, Grove Hill; six great-grandchildren, Faith, Ellen, Mary and Ben Parmer and Emma and James E. Paul III.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Rivers.
The service was Nov. 26 at 11 a.m. at Lathan Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson. Burial was in the Tompkins Baptist Church Cemetery in Grove Hill.
