Deloris E. Beck, 65, died Dec. 22, 2010.
She was born Sept. 2, 1945 to the late Floree and Andrew Thomas Sr. She was a native of Jackson. She was a member of the Jackson AOH Church of God, serving as a member of the Mother’s Board and the Senior Choir. She was a graduate of Harper High School. She worked at Vanity Fair for six years, and as a cook at the Meadows Assisted Living Apartments.
Survivors include her husband of more than 40 years, Leonard Beck, Jackson; two daughters, Carolyn Westbrooke, Linda Beck, both of Jackson; one stepson, LeDredge Madison; four brothers, Matthew Doss, Willie (Dorothy) Thomas, Andrew (Linda) Thomas Jr., all of Detroit, Mich., Samuel ( Valerie) Thomas; two sisters, Debra McGee, Detroit, Mich., Equilla (Clifton) Gee, Chicago, Ill.; two aunts, Lizzie Thomas, Margaret (Ross) Thomas; six sisters-in-law, two devoted, Ella M. Tate of California, Mildred Beck; one brotherin law; three grandchildren, Shaela Westbrooke, Areyanna Darrington, Alaysha Westbrooke; three goddaughters, LaTedra Jones, Felecia Fox, LaRhonda Moore; a host of other friends and relatives.
The service was Dec. 29 at 1 p.m., at Jackson AOH Church of God in Jackson with Overseer Frank Mitchell Jr., pastor, as officiating minister. Burial was in the Jackson AOH Church of God Cemetery. Jackson Memorial Funeral Home directed.
Pallbearers were Mrs. Beck’s nephews. (49-1tp)
