James Albert Haskew, 83, of Thomasville died Dec. 26, 2010 at his residence.
He was born Nov. 5, 1927 in Selma. He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church and Oliver Lodge #334 F&AM. He was a World War II United States Army veteran. He was a former welder and machinist.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Maxine Haskew, Thomasville; three sons, Frank (Virginia) Haskew, Greenville, Don Haskew, Dennis (Hazel) Haskew, both of Thomasville; one daughter, Pat (Mike) Agee, Thomasville; one brother, Ned (Ann) Haskew, Louisiana; four sisters, Juanita (John) McVeigh, Nevada, Maggie Overton, Lower Peach Tree, Alma Ruth Whitaker, Texas, Frances (Smitty) Smith, Virginia; 10 grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren.
The service was Dec. 29 at 2 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church with Revs. Larry Darden and Bill Faircloth officiating. Burial was in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomasville. Condolences may be offered at www.obryantchapel.com. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville directed.
