Carlton Clayton Wade Sr., 78, of Jackson died Jan. 13, 2011 while hunting near his home.
He was born Nov. 16, 1932. He was a native of Salitpa. He was a member of Stave Creek Baptist Church and a member of the Kingdom Builders. He was a carpenter supervisor with Brown & Root Construction Company.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred H. Wade, Jackson; two sons, James (Angela) Wade, Carlton (Tracy) Wade Jr., all of Jackson; one daughter, Janice (Ronald) Rayborn, Foley; one sister, Annie Mae Motes, Jackson; four grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 15 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Lathan Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson. The service will be Sunday, Jan. 16 at 3 p.m. at Stave Creek Baptist Church with Revs. Mike Maloy and Jamie Lay officiating. Burial will be in the Stave Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Richard Motes, Lamar Motes, Gary Motes, Jason Motes, Clay Ready and Ed Wood.
Honorary pallbearers will be Melton Dusbose, Melvin Stanley, Ashley and Leonard Wright, Lonnie Paul Wright, Leslie Hoven, Red McDonald, John D. Knight, Horace Schultz and Ricky Manchester.
Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directed.
