Gary Dean Garrick, 48, of Dickinson died Jan. 3, 2011 at USA Medical Center in Mobile.
He was born Feb. 15, 1962 in Fulton. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He was the owner of Garrick's Grocery Store in Scyrene.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy Garrick, Dickinson; one son, Douglas ( Tina) McGee, Livingston; two daughters, Laura (Michael) Newton, Dickinson, Cristi (Burke) Adkins, Herndon, Virginia; two brothers, Manuel Lee (Anne) Garrick Jr., Bert (Marie) Garrick, all of Dickinson; three sisters, Rhonda (Roger) Whitfield, Brenda Garrick Braswell, all of Dickinson, Sherry Hunt, Mobile; granddaughter, Erin Newton, Dickinson; eight other grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Elosie Garrick and a sister, Mitzi Garrick.
The service was Jan. 5 at 3 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Harvey Hutto officiating. Burial was in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Scyrene. Condolences may be offered at obryantchapelfh.com. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville directed.
