Tamike L. Caves, 38 a native of Rockville, died Jan. 14, 2011 in a Mobile Infirmary Hospital. Born on Sept. 4, 1973, she was united with Mt. Olive Baptist Church No. 1 in Rockville and later Jackson AOH Church in Jackson.
Her grandparents, Eveline Sims and Lemmie Caves preceded her in death.
She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Valerie and Joseph Davis of Leroy; her father and stepmother, Dorothy and Willie Caves Sr. of Chatom; children, Breanna Dubose, Ayanna and Christianna King; adopted son, Carey Webb of Jackson; siblings, Myron and Frederick (Ohara) Caves, Quint (LaRosa) Steele and Tyree Caves, all of Jackson, Jessica Renee Caves (Kalvin Murphy) of Montgomery and Willie (Shaneka) Caves Jr. of Hawaii; stepsisters, Courtney Rhodes of Tallassee and Keysila McKinnis of Chatom; grandparents, Martha Caves of Detroit, Mich. and Jessie Hughes of Mobile; godchildren, Kenya Frowner and Tia Steele; friends, LaRosa Steele, Marsha Martin, Denise Scott, Danita (Sue) Sampson and Patricia Mitchell; special friends, Jerome King and Willie Dubose; special cousin and aunt, Beatrice Webb and Henrietta Cox, respectively and a hosts of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives, coworkers and friends.
The service will be Saturday, Jan. 22 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church No. 1 in Rockville with viewing beginning at 12 noon until the funeral hour at 1 p.m. The Rev. Kevin Jackson, pastor, will be the officiating minister. Interment will be in the church cemetery with Jackson Memorial Funeral Home directing.
