Archie Leon Green, 86, of Surginer died Jan. 27, 2011 at Providence Hospital in Mobile.
He was born July 16, 1924 in Surginer. He was a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Louise Green, Surginer; two daughters, Angela Trainham, Pochatoula, Louisiana, Samantha Montz, Surginer; one sister, Enna Moore, Phenix City; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
The service was Jan. 31 at 2 p.m. at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church with Revs. Leon Parnell and Harold Giles officiating. Burial was in the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with military honors by the United States Marine Corps.
Active pallbearers were Darryl Green, Terry Green, Chris Montz, Sean McCary, Roger Davis, Gene Etheridge and Rocky Hutto.
Honorary pallbearers were Ivan McManess, Charles Wesley Hasty and Cecil McIntye.
