Kathleen Shamburger "Bean" Hill, 95, of Thomasville died Feb. 10, 2011 at Robertsdale Health Care.
She was born Dec. 17, 1915 in Butler. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She lived in Thomasville where she worked at Sadler’s Grocery Store for many years. In 1952 she moved to Bay Minette and worked at Water’s Grocery, Greer’s, Piggly Wiggly and K-Mart.
Survivors include one son, Sam (Shirley) Hill, Uriah; one daughter, Thelma H. (Albert) Jaye, Bay Minette; grandchildren, Linda (Skip) Turner, Tuscaloosa, Randy (Pam) Jaye, Mobile, Cheryle Brooks, Foley, Robert Hill and Samuel (Melinda) Hill, both of Rochester, Wa., Vicky (Tony) McMillan, Bryan (Nicole) Hill, all of Uriah; three step-grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death her husband, George A. Hill, two brothers, Rayford Shamburger, Elbert Shamburger and one sister, Sarah Macquarrie.
The service will be Monday, Feb. 14 at 11 a.m. at the Norris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Ronald E. Stone and Rev. Cecil Nelson officiating. Burial will be in the Bay Minette Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday, Feb. 13 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home.
