Gladys Wilkerson Cassity, 78, of Gallion died Feb. 24, 2011 at her residence.
She was born April 24, 1932 in Thomasville. He was a member of the Cornerstone Church. She was a retired examiner with Vanity Fair.
Survivors include two sons, George T. "Tommy" (Debbie) Cassity, Demopolis, Danny (Joy) Cassity, Gallion; one daughter, Charlotte C. (John) Crepps, Gallion; two brothers, Bill (Claire) Wilkerson, Saraland, Harold (Linda) Wilkerson, Thomasville; two sisters, Vernon W. Pugh, Thomasville, Hazel W. Garrett, Valdelia, Georgia; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband George William Cassity, two brothers, W.C. Wilkerson, Joe Wilkerson, and two sisters, Inez W. Gould.
The service was Feb. 27 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Rob Wynne officiating. Burial was in the Midway Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomasville.
Active pallbearers were Brandon D. Crepps, Jeremy T. Cassity, Jason D. Cassity, Ryan T. Cassity, Joshua M. Cassity and Justin E. Webb.
Honorary pallbearers were Blake Webb, R.J. Marchand, Stahon Wilson, Gaige Wynne, Robert Lee Wynne, Jared Gray, Laura Grace Wilson, Austin Crepps, Trent Crepps, Brent Langley, Kevin Crepps, Dylan Wynne, Amelia Rae Cassity, The Staff of Southern Care Hospice and Tara W. Sealey, Thomasen Watters, and Bro. Rob Wynne.
