Amos Ray Monroe Davis, 65, of Gainestown died March 9, 2011 in an area Assisted Living Facility.
He was born July 5, 1945 in Brewton. He was a member of Jones Chapel Congregational Methodist Church at Perry’s Chapel. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Army. He worked as an electrician at Boise Paper Mill for 41 years.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Fay Davis, Jackson; one son, Chad Ray (Heather) Davis, Tuscaloosa; one daughter, Nina (Bill) Lazenby, Orange Beach; one brother, James Davis, Brewton; one sister, Ann Frazier, Brewton; one grandchild, Ansleigh Rae Lazenby, Orange Beach.
The service was March 11 at 1 p.m. at Lathan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bennie Crawford officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Walker Springs.
Active pallbearers were Tom Shipley, Wayne Jones, Mickey Jones, Keith Davis, Mark Brantley and Charles Gunter.
