John Bruce McNider, 64, of Morvin died April 1, 2011 at his residence.
He was born June 16, 1946 in Selma. He was a member of Forest Springs Baptist Church. He was a cattleman.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Joyce Hovatter McNider, Morvin; three sons, Bruce (Melissa) McNider Jr., Thomasville, Emmett Oris McNider II, Nanafalia, Kenneth (Denise) Allday, Jackson; one daughter, Lezli (Kenny) Thomason, Foley; eight grandchildren, Mary Alex McNider, Morvin, John Bruce McNider III, Morvin, Devin McNider, MaKenzie McNider, both of Uniontown, BayleeThomason, Foley, Kevin (Lauren) Davis, Fayette, Mallory Fay (Richard) Weaver, Jackson, Kenneth Ethan Allday, Jackson; two great-grandchildren, Seth Weaver, Jackson, Kaden Davis, Fayette.
He was preceded in death by his father, Emmett Oris McNider, mother, Allie B. Etheridge McNider, daughter, Angela Allday, brother, William Oris McNider.
The service was April 4 at 1 p.m. with Revs. Irvis Dale Everette and Danny Nelson officiating. Burial was in the Forest Springs Cemetery in Morvin.
Active pallbearers were Mike Drew, Raymond Barron, Wayne Tate, Stevie Overton, Alfonsoe Patterson, and Robbie Broadus.
Honorary pallbearers were Jared Downey, Marvin Wilson, Joe Nuzzolilo, Ralph Lofton, Roy Campbell, Rocky Phillips, Virgil Broadus, Jimmy Vick, Martel Pope, Dan Jackson and Jimmy Dement.
