Grace Marlowe Pope Hasty, 80, of Thomasville died April 9, 2011 at her residence.
She was born March 1, 1931 in Selma. She was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a retired bookkeeper.
Survivors include two sons, John Phillip Hasty, Thomasville, Maxwell Douglas (Ann) Hasty, Brandon, Miss.; two daughters, Wanda Lynn Hasty (Jim) Irvin, Rhonda Kaye Hasty (Henry) Morgan, all of Thomasville; two brothers, Charles (Christine) Pope, Dixons Mills, Mike (Minnie) Pope, Thomasville; four sisters, Carolyn (Curtis) Lisenbe, Dixons Mills, Bettie (Max) Larkin, Linda Genin, Florence Lisenbe, all of Coatopa; eight grandchildren, Dawn Irvin, Dana Irvin (Derrick) Clark, Summer Morgan (Greg) Maples, Josh (Sara) Morgan, Hope Morgan, Amber Hasty (Andy) Watson, Adam Hasty, Autumn Hasty; nine great-grandchildren, Peyton Maples, Morgan Maples, Nolan Morgan, Elijah Watson, Kaitlyn Etheredge, Derrick Clark, Brandon Clark, Abby Clark, Haley Clark.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maxwell W. "Bud" Hasty, a son, James William Hasty, two grandchildren, Jeremy Douglas Hasty and Misty Nicole Hasty, parents, Charles Doris Pope and Haudie Grey Cannon Pope; two sisters, Beulah Louise Pope and Lola Mae Pope (Cecil) Hasty; and two brothers, Samuel Merwyn Pope and Thomas Pope.
The service was April 12 at 11 a.m. at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Daniel Grady officiating. Burial was in the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Dixons Mills.
Active pallbearers were Josh Morgan, Greg Maples, Andy Watson, Derrick Clark, Jason McGilberry and Tommy Pope.
Honorary pallbearers were the Staff of Southern Care Hospice, Teresa Glass and Donna Kay Tyler.
